Annex 1 International Standard Equivalency Certification

Thailand certificate of secondary education (Matthayom Suksa 6) equivalency system

  1. British System
    • General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A Level) with grade results A*-Eon at least 3 different subjects, or
    • Cambridge Pre-U with grade result M1 or D1-D3 on at least 3 different subjects.
  2. American System
    • General Educational Development (GED) Credential obtained before May 2017 withminimum total score 2250 on all 5 subjects and at least 410 points on each subject, or
    • General Educational Development (GED) Credential obtained from May 2017 withminimum score 145 on all 4 subjects.
  3. New Zealand System
    • National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Record of Achievement: Atleast 80 credits achieved (60 credits at Level 2 or above + 20 credits at Level 1 orabove), with English for Speaker of other Languages (ESOL) considered as a subject.
      • Applicants must submit NCEA level 2 certificate, Record of Achievement, Level certification letter, list of subjects and number of credits for each subject from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).
  4. International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP)
    • International Baccalaureate Diploma with the total score from 5 subjects and 1 freeelective at least 24 points. Applicants must pass the Extended Essay (EE), Theory ofKnowledge (TOK) and Creativity, Action & Service (CAS) evaluation, in accordance withthe International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) criteria
    • IB Diploma Course Results (IBCR) with not less than grade 3 on at least 5 differentsubjects
  5. Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC)
    • BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma with grade results D*-P. Applicants must havePEARSON Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma of Year 12 – 13 in 3 subjects: Business,Travel and Tourism, and Sport accompanied by a High School Diploma.
  6. Other high school diplomas
    • High school diploma from an international school in Thailand with an equivalencycertificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Thailand, or
    • High school diploma from an international school oversea with an equivalencycertificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Thailand, or
    • High school diploma in Chinese High System must have a minimum average score of 60out of 100 or 90 out of 150 in their field of study (Arts/Sciences) for at least 4semesters and the maximum score for each subject must be presented in the transcript.
    • High school diploma in the Myanmar Matriculation System with a MatriculationExamination Pass Certificate and either
      • “O” Level Pass Certificate or
      • Transcripts of the first academic year in an undergraduate degree or diplomafrom an acknowledged university.

  7. Other Vocational School diploma
    • Students who graduated from Vocational School in Chinese system must have a minimum
      average score of 60 out of 100 or 90 out of 150 in their field of study (Arts/Sciences) and
      the maximum score for each subject must be presented in the transcript.
    • Students who graduated from Vocational School in other system must have a diploma
      equivalent to or higher than the Vocational School system of Thailand. (Check the foreign
