CMU vice president, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sampan Singharajwarapan, accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chatchawan Chaichana, Associate Dean for Research, Innovation and International Affairs of the Faculty of Engineering, and Assoc. Prof. Dr . Peerapong Jitsangiam, attended the online ceremony on 15th March 2022 to sign the MoU between CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research, and universities in China and Thailand.

This MoU is the cooperation between CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research, and universities in China and Thailand (Central South University, CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chiang Mai University, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan Khon Kaen Campus, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, and Suranaree University of Technology) in the academic area. It aims to build international cooperation for academic communication and jointly carry out the high speed train training curriculum for professional level and educational level which mainly focus on fostering technical and engineering talent in high speed railway.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Peerapong Jitsangiam was a representative of Chiang Mai University, attended the keynote session and presented current capabilities and future development in railway curriculum and research interests of Chiang Mai University.
