Internship

The Faculty of Engineering’s internship was initiated by the cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University and its partner universities from around the world. It aims at accepting postgraduate students to work on a research project with support from their academic supervisor(s) at the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University. It provides postgraduate students with the opportunity to benefit from high-level research and work towards their degree alongside a group of master/ doctoral students.

Internship Application Process

  1. Interested applicants must complete the application form and prepare the required documents to be nominated by the home institution.
  2. After considering the application by the host institution, the students will receive the offer of admission via email. They are required to accept/ decline/ defer the offer before the deadline.
  3. Once the students accept the offer, they will receive the instructions regarding the registration, accommodation, and visa from Chiang Mai International Engineering School via email.

Note: Please note that a copy of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) must be submitted alongside the nomination in case the home institution is one of the partner universities.

Supporting Documents

  1. A nomination letter from the home institution
  2. A copy of the Memorandum of Understanding (for the home institution being a partner university of Chiang Mai University)
  3. An application form
  4. A research plan
  5. A reference letter from the academic advisor
  6. An official academic transcript
  7. An English proficiency score record (for non-native English speakers)
  8. A copy of the first page of the passport (The passport must be valid for at least 6 months before its expiry date.)
  9. A student’s photo on white background

Note: Please note that intern students shall have private health insurance arranged before arrival in Thailand. They may submit it later after their admission to the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University.
