“Assoc Prof Dr Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering together with 6 engineering students, 4 CAMT students and the team from Chiang Mai University travelled to South Korea for participating in “HBNU – CMU International Capstone 2022” held from 28th November to 4th December 2022 at Hanbat National University in Daejeon, South Korea.
Capstone project has been a collaboration between Hanbat National University and the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University since 2019. This year, students from both universities worked on the theme “Smart Green Campus”. The first phase was held at Chiang Mai University from 1st – 6th October 2022 by the Faculty of Engineering. Students started the project by choosing 5 topics – “Development of Sensor Monitoring and Display Services”, “Electrochromic (EC) Window System for Campus Building Applications”, “Solar Photovoltaic System Analysis for Zero Energy Campus Buildings”, “Thermal Comfort based Fan Control in a Building” and “The Water Quality Eco-System”, remotely worked together and finally presented their project at Hanbat National University (Phase 2). Not only students exchanged academic knowledge, but they also gained cultural experiences.”
